SAN CARLOS, Calif., April 17, 2015 — Bluescape, a persistent cloud-based platform for real-time visual collaboration, has been named a “Cool Vendor” based on the “Cool Vendors in Social Software and Collaboration, 2015” report published April 13, 2015 by Gartner, Inc. Each year, Gartner identifies new and innovative vendors in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting their products and services. The report provides the following recommendations for IT leaders supporting collaboration projects:
“As our world becomes more digitized, Bluescape sees the opportunity to help organizations create deep connections between digital and physical spaces for collaboration and engagement,” said Scott Poulton, CEO of Bluescape. “Our goal is to create a technology that disrupts traditional collaboration tools by harnessing the power of people’s natural learning styles and behaviors so they are better equipped to communicate and co-create ideas and content from anywhere. We are thrilled that Gartner has recognized Bluescape.”
Gartner’s report points out, “Despite the rapid uptake of social software over the past few years, great untapped potential to improve collaboration and communication across enterprises — even with business partners — still remains…. IT leaders of digital workplace initiatives that require collaboration and social interaction will want to examine these creative vendors to see how their offerings can augment more traditional enterprise social software platforms from well-known vendors.”
Bluescape is a persistent cloud-based platform for real time collaboration, making it easy for individuals and teams to create, interact with, and share content on different devices. Founded in 2012, Bluescape is a jointly owned collaboration between Haworth and Obscura Digital. The company is located in San Carlos, California.
