SAN CARLOS, Calif., October 13, 2015 -- Bluescape, a persistent cloud-based platform for visual collaboration, today announced that Northwestern University has selected Bluescape to help students accelerate new ideas and innovative companies at The Garage, a cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship space on-campus designed for emerging students to experiment, collaborate, and get their ideas built.
With Bluescape, students are better equipped to tap into their creative potential, brainstorm across different disciplines, geographies and work in a more collaborative and engaging way.
"Bluescape gives students and faculty at The Garage a new, innovative way to explore content and share data." said Melissa Crounse, Executive Director of The Garage at Northwestern. "It's been exciting to see the new ways that they have incorporated Bluescape into team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and classroom teaching.”
Northwestern is the first Big Ten University to use Bluescape as a part of its curriculum, validating the platform’s use by higher education to teach the principles of research, product development and innovation.
“At the intersection of education, venture communities and invested entrepreneurs, The Garage is Northwestern’s epicenter of idea prototyping and business development,” said Scott Poulton, Chief Executive Officer of Bluescape. “Ultimately the technology incubator will accelerate innovation, helping to scale and grow an idea from concept to execution. Most universities are using whiteboards and non-digital solutions to build these type of entrepreneurial communities, so we’re excited to see The Garage leap light-years ahead and be competitive with the top tech accelerators in the country.” Bluescape is available on any internet-enabled device, including large touchscreen walls, personal computers, iPads, Android tablets, and mobile devices.
