Large-Scale Visualization Workspace Connects Teams Across Time Zones, to Ignite Breakthrough Ideas and Accelerate Business Projects and Decisions
SAN CARLOS, Calif., April 23, 2014 — Launching today, businesses can eradicate traditional siloed, linear and fragmented ways of working with Bluescape, the cloud-based visual collaborative workspace that is changing the way people work. Bluescape’s technology provides 160-acres of cloud workspace to pull together existing business data, applications, workflows and makes them interactive. By visualizing all the information in a workspace — whether through a multi-touch display wall, desktop browser or mobile device — teams can work simultaneously with all their business assets and each other from any location.
Leading global brands in the manufacturing, design, and automotive industries are already using Bluescape for integrated product development, content management and strategic planning. By mirroring the way people think and work, Bluescape allows teams to see the big picture to drive innovation, workplace effectiveness and deliver business results. Existing collaboration technologies require users to toggle between different screens, people, and applications. Bluescape’s service is real time, interactive and puts information in context bringing projects to completion faster.
“Bluescape offers tremendous potential to enhance productivity during meetings, making them rich and contextual,” said Russ Drinker, Managing Principal at HOK. “We aim to significantly increase efficiency by saving 50 percent more time before and after meetings, in prep work and recapping. Also, the cloud-based aspect of Bluescape allows us to make updates and revisions on the fly from any device, anywhere, anytime.”
Bluescape’s service is accessible by an unlimited number of users via an iOS application or a self-service download on a mobile device, any computer or large multi-touch wall display. If used on a multi-touch wall, the workspace can detect touch from fingers or a custom-built stylus for writing and drawing. Individual elements or clusters of content can be rearranged, annotated, zoomed in and out, swiped side-to-side, up and down and resized.
Bluescape can be purchased as a monthly subscription with three plans:
Plus $29.99 – 15 GB, 8 workspaces, 10 contributors
Professional $69.99 – 75 GB, 20 workspaces, 30 contributors
“Our vision is to deliver the technology that reflects the way our customers want to work together,” said Scott Poulton, chief executive officer at Bluescape. “By seeing the whole picture, they can identify patterns, make deeper and more meaningful connections, and bring complex projects to market faster. Bluescape is transforming business by paving a clearer path for ideation, innovation and business growth.”
Founded in 2012, Bluescape is a SaaS company located in Silicon Valley and is a jointly owned collaboration by Haworth and Obscura Digital. Bluescape’s visual collaborative workspaces connect people and their content to enable deeper insights, meaningful innovation, and simultaneous collaboration for teams to execute across global time zones, on any device.
